国道警察警察六队员警陈启瑞8月初执行路肩抛锚车戒护时，突然被后方拖板车高速撞击，紧急就医后回天乏术，从此与妻子天伦永隔，而独子往后也将心碎度过每年的黑色父亲节，不过员警陈启瑞伤重殉职，顿时让家中失去经济支柱，让无依无靠的母子不知道何去何从。
员警陈启瑞离世留下遗孀和1名独子，让过去曾担任二总队警友会委员，苗栗警友会理事长李金恭，感同身受的表示，过去因公殉职申请抚卹成功的例子不多，加上体恤警察工作辛苦，因此得知小消息后，担心陈家人经济失去依靠，不知何去何从，才会决定声援，主动邀请陈的遗孀到自己的京元电子公司上班，并协助陈子到京元电建教合作的学校半工半读，就是希望能帮助母子一家人度过难关，这将心比心的好意，让人超感动，而李金恭则谦虚的说，「这对我来说只是举手之劳，多提供一两个职缺没什么」。
不过，李金恭表示起初陈妻婉拒这份好意，主要原因是处理完丈夫后事后，还接着要走司法程序，也希望能陪伴儿子读完高中，李金恭理解陈妻顾虑后，双方便约定好1年后再报到上班。而当时事发主因，看下面相关影片，就会让大家想起事隔2个月前的重大车祸事故，怎么让这一家3口天伦永隔…
